Morgan Garner is one of my best friends. The proof? Her reason for wanting to take over Summit Peeks on Twitter (after I twisted her arm): “Because my super cool best friend Ray has created an awesome way to showcase the city we both love to spend our time in.”
Morgan currently lives in North Canton, but works in Ellet at the International Soap Box Derby. She moved to Akron in 2008 to attend The University of Akron. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Sport Management. “Since coming here, I have worked all over the city and made friends with people from so many local groups and organizations. Like me, this city has grown so much since I moved here, and it has been wonderful to be a part of the many positive changes that are taking place. I can’t really imagine a day where this place doesn’t feel like home to me.”
Morgan’s favorite thing about Akron is game days downtown with the RubberDucks at Canal Park. A close second favorite is the tater tots at Johnny J’s.
