How did the business get started?

The start of Bereka Coffee began with an ambitious conversation during a trip back from visiting my family in Ethiopia in June 2012. Inspired by a vibrant culture we experience there, we knew we wanted to share that same sense of connection and hospitality here.

In 2016, we started by catering local events and hosting Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies, introducing people to traditions of Ethiopian coffee. Since then, we have grown into a full-time operation, gratefully serving our community out of a mobile trailer and cafe.
