Takeovers last a full week: Sunday through Saturday. You’ll be able to share where you’re going and what you’re doing. But don’t fret! You don’t have to do anything special or go out of your way. All Akronites have a unique way of interacting with and exploring the city – we want to see your side of Akron!

History

Everyday Akron began in April 2016 (under a different name) as a way to get a peek into different perspectives of Akron.

Since the first takeover, followers of Everyday Akron have enjoyed meeting Akronites they might never have otherwise been connected to. They’ve also loved being introduced to different parts of the city and learning about things new to them.

Everyday Akron started as Twitter takeovers. It has now switched to Instagram takeovers – with more projects on the way.
