Alissa Hazlett has been living in the Akron area most of her life. She grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, went away to study at Bowling Green State University, then moved back to Akron after graduating. She now works in the public relations department at Akron Children’s Hospital. She says the organization “is most definitely a city asset!”
Alissa feels she’s “very lucky to have been able to move [her] career back to Akron.” The city has “so much to offer, from insanely great restaurants and breweries to beautiful parks and trails. I love being able to call it my home.”
When asked what her favorite thing about Akron is, Alissa said: “Oh man, this is really hard! I think one of my absolute favorite things about Akron is our access to Summit Metro Parks. They’re such an incredibly beautiful asset to our area and one I love to use, whether I’m going for a run or setting out on a hike with my husband and pup.”
