Jayme Bryson has lived in Akron her entire life. She grew up down the street from Firestone High School and currently lives in Highland Square. As the marketing manager and a barista for Nervous Dog Coffee, she says she is there all the time, either behind the bar or hanging out. Jayme is excited about her job and feels like Nervous Dog is her home away from home.
Jayme is taking over Summit Peeks this week and says, “I feel like I get to exist in such a unique community and that the Nervous Dog staff is hilarious. So I’d like to share some of their funny stories from being on the job, show some of the organizations that we work with, talk personally about my Akron experience and just try something new!”
When she’s not at Nervous Dog, Jayme loves exploring new places and businesses and meeting other Akronites and visitors. She is involved in the arts community and wants to help it grow by opening a community art center in the future. “I want to dedicate my future to doing all that I can to be involved in the community and improving Akron! We have a lot of hope and good people here that want to make a big difference. I never want to leave!!”
Jayme’s favorite thing about Akron is “the strong and unique community that is constantly growing and changing. Also, Nervous Dog coffee.”
