Meet Karlie:
Hey there! My name is Karlie, and I’ve lived in the greater Akron area my entire life. I moved into the city five years ago, but I am no stranger to our wonderful neighborhoods.
During the day, you’ll find me working with plants or driving our flower truck to local events at my family’s business, Graf’s Garden Shop. We are big plant people at home too – we have a larger than average vegetable garden, where we love to grow our own food and create new recipes in our kitchen.
In my free time, my wife and I love to visit and support local area businesses as well as hike in our fantastic Summit Metro Parks and national park. We love Akron for its diverse neighborhoods and neighbors. We drive across the city for our favorite tacos in Goodyear Heights and love shopping at small family owned markets in North Hill. You’ll find us buying gifts from local artisans as well as dining out at small spots throughout the city. We believe it is vital to support local businesses in our community as it keeps our money here in Akron and helps our neighbors thrive and be successful.
My wife works at a local bakery that is owned by a hardworking husband and wife duo. We know the challenges small businesses face and we try to always show up and support our community members who run them.
