Hey it’s Ray! I run things behind the scenes at Everyday Akron.
First, I’d like to thank you for following @everydayakron on Instagram and engaging with each week’s host. It means so much to me that you allow Everyday Akron on your social feeds.
If you’re a little unfamiliar with the Everyday Akron concept, here it is in a nutshell: Each week, a new Akronite takes over the @everydayakron Instagram account to share their side of Akron — what they do for fun, where they like to eat, the non-profits they volunteer with, how they spend their free time, what they do for work, the businesses they support and the owners they’ve become friends with, their neighbors, and so much more.
Host weeks for 2022 are currently full, but you can sign up to host in 2023.
There’s also a blog component, in which I share stories about local businesses, non-profits, ideas from the EA community, and–you guessed it–so much more. I’ve even had a few guest writers submit amazing content.
Running Everyday Akron is a labor of love. A love of Akron, the people who call it home, and the power social media has to bring people together in a positive way.
