Last but not least, we provide a supportive and inclusive community where creatives feel empowered, valued and encouraged to express themselves authentically, take creative risks, and pursue their dreams with confidence.

How did the business get started?

Platinum22 was born out of a shared vision and passion for creativity. Founded in December of 2021 by two college friends (Taylor Loftin and Chaudralyn Bell), our platform was dedicated to uniting creatives from diverse backgrounds, including digital media, visual arts, fashion, and social media industries.

Our mission from the outset has been clear: to foster collaboration, amplify voices and inspire innovation within the creative community through culture, education, and creativity. Since our inception, we have strived to provide a space where artists, designers, writers, and influencers can come together to share ideas, support one another, and collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of creativity.

What is your business’s relationship with the city of Akron and Akronites?

Platinum22 is deeply rooted in the local arts and culture scene of Akron. We actively collaborate with local businesses like El Patron Tequileria & Cuisine, Summit Artspace, Kicks Lounge, The Trailhead at Cascade Lofts, Baxter’s Speakeasy, and more to promote and celebrate Akron’s vibrant creative community.

Platinum22 is also dedicated to giving back to the city of Akron through community initiatives and philanthropic efforts. We believe in the power of art and creativity to inspire positive change and uplift communities.

By supporting local artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations in Akron, we contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of Akron.

How do you see your business growing into the future?

Looking ahead, Platinum22 envisions a future of continued growth, innovation and impact within the creative community. We have several key initiatives that we plan to use to shape our growth.

Platinum22 aims to continue to gain momentum and recognition by expanding our presence beyond Akron and into other cities and states. By establishing chapters or branches in new locations, we aim to connect with creatives from diverse communities and foster collaboration on a larger scale. We also plan to host larger and more impactful events that showcase the talents of creatives from various disciplines and backgrounds.

Collaboration is always on our to-do list by seeking to forge partnerships and collaborations with bigger organizations, brands, and institutions that share our vision and values.

And last but not least, we want to widen our reach. Through strategic marketing and outreach efforts, Platinum22 aims to widen our reach and attract a larger audience of creatives, enthusiasts, and supporters. By expanding our online presence, creating engaging content, and participating in industry events, we plan to raise awareness of Platinum22 and engage with a broader community of like-minded individuals.

How can people support your business?

One of the most impactful ways to support us is by actively participating in our events, workshops and initiatives. By attending our networking mixers, creative showcases, fashion shows, and more, you not only get the chance to engage with local artists and entrepreneurs but also contribute to the amazing creative community in Akron.

Additionally, spreading the word about Platinum22 and sharing our content on social media platforms helps increase awareness and reach a wider audience, which enables us to connect with more creatives and supporters.

For those who are able, financial contributions or sponsorships are greatly appreciated and help us to continue to provide valuable resources, support services, and opportunities to our community members.

Ultimately, every act of support whether big or small plays a crucial role in helping Platinum22 thrive and make a positive impact.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us thus far including the many partnerships and collaborations we have been apart of, along with our amazing team: Cydnee Livingston (Event Coordinator) and Darshon Rogers (Digital Media Relations).
