Everyday Akron Stories

Where to Host Your Next Meeting or Event in the Akron Area

Last updated March 2026; Originally posted June 2024

Akron, Ohio, is brimming with a variety of places to host your next meeting, retreat, party, wedding and just about anything else you can think of to celebrate or converge over.

Got a new job? Celebrate. Adopted a new puppy? Celebrate. Need to run through your annual marketing strategy? Host a meeting. Wanting to improve your team dynamics? Host a retreat. No matter the occasion, the Akron area has a place you can rent. (Sometimes for free!)

We’ve rounded up a list of places, but it certainly isn’t exhaustive –  but it is a good place to start your party planning. (I added some notes in italics for places I’ve used.)

Some of the places may be listed twice, since they fit more than one category. Most places are in Akron, but if they’re in the Greater Akron area, we included the city in (parenthesis).

Jump to one of our categories listed below or simply start scrolling. (And you don’t have to invite us to your event… but if there will be passed apps…)
