As a self proclaimed “baby yogi” or someone who is new-ish to the yoga world, I’m always learning and trying new poses, classes and studios. I can’t think of anything better than yoga outside. Usually in summertime, you’ll catch me in my yard practicing by myself, maybe along with a YouTube video.
Elevate Akron’s Outdoor Yoga Festival is something I’ve watched on social media with FOMO for years, never able to attend due to schedule conflicts or “not wanting to go by myself”. But, on July 20, I’ll be joining Elevate Akron (and 2,000 other yogis of all levels) for their 11th Outdoor Yoga Festival at The University of Akron’s Coleman Common.
This festival runs from 3 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, and includes a huge variety of activities. Seriously, I might have to stay the entire time. Register now and I’ll see you there!
This year is the 11th annual festival and will feature:
- All Levels yoga classes at 4PM and 7PM
- Live music from Elevate Akron Orchestra composed of local musicians
- Eat & Drink Local Food Trucks & Beer Garden
- Explore wellness-minded businesses, nonprofits, & shop artisan vendors
