Meet Merry Petroski:
I’m Merry Petroski an age equity advocate, art lover, and history nerd. I work as the Project Manager for the Creative Aging Institute at the Akron Art Museum, championing inclusivity, creative risk taking and lifelong learning. With deep family roots in Akron—my grandfather worked in the tire industry during the rubber boom and lived with his family for a time right down the street from where I spend my days at AAM—i love having a personal connection to the city’s history. Throughout the week, I’d like to share some behind the scenes glimpses at my work in an art museum, highlight the fun places I like to visit in Akron, and share plans I have for further age equity work.
