Nine years ago, Andrea Sanchez moved to Akron from California. She’s taking over Summit Peeks on Twitter this week because she loves Akron and wants to “help promote it as the awesome city it is.”
The University of Akron is Andrea and her husband’s “stomping ground.” She moved to Ohio to get a second degree in education from UA, and her husband works at the university. Since she’s been in Akron, Andrea says, “I have met some amazing people through The University of Akron.”
She has also met people through another local group — the Akron Stitch n Bitch. Andrea has fallen in love with Summit Metro Parks and is a regular at Dontino’s in North Hill. She says that it’s “the best Italian restaurant [she] has ever eaten at.”
Andrea’s favorite thing about Akron is that “it is a diamond in the rough with amazing parks, restaurants and people.”
