Kurtiss Hare is the executive director of Nightlight Cinema in Downtown Akron’s Historic Arts District. He lives in the Northside neighborhood.
Kurtiss cherishes Akron because he loves her people: “That means I respect her so much that I’m willing to work hard for her benefit. Her people are too many and too diverse to be easily described, but I constantly encounter others who cherish and work hard for the benefit of this city as well.”
His favorite thing about Akron is the authentic, honest and hard-working character of the people who live and work here. He adds, “Oh, and the Galley Boy.”
