Happy Pride Month, everyone!

Since the Akron Pride Festival organization postponed their events until next year, they’re producing some really great videos on Facebook, along with other special content and virtual events all summer long.

I am excited to announce a project I am working on in honor of Pride titled Portraits of Pride. In partnership with Community AIDS Network/Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI), we are creating a series of photos which features LGBTQ+ people and their allies. Follow CANAPI and Akron Pride Festival to see the additional photos and stories from this project. Even though we can’t celebrate Pride in person this month (I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and wearing face masks around town), we can still support the LGBTQIA+ community in Akron year-round.
