Meet Francis:
I was born and raised in Akron. Growing up a queer catholic kid, all I wanted to do was leave. Now, after traveling the world and going to school and fighting for civil rights in Kentucky, I have found my way back to Akron. Living here during a pandemic has reshaped how I think about Akron, has made it my new home, and brought back a part of me that has been missing for a while.
The Akron I know today is eclectic, queer, artsy, and renewed. It’s the Akron I needed when I was younger. And I want to share with y’all the places I love and the people/businesses that have breathed life back into my Akron.
