U-Pick Flowers, Fruit and More in Akron 

When the weather is nice, I think of warm sunshine, trails full of wildflowers, delicious seasonal fruits … and any excuse to be outside. And when we combine all of that together? We get more than two seasons’ worth of u-pick experiences at local farms, orchards and gardens.

Here’s where you can pick your own fruit, produce, flowers, pumpkins and more in the Akron area. (Make sure to check in with your preferred location to see what’s in season and available.)

Greenfield Berry Farm

This farm offers pick-your-own blueberries, aronia berries, sunflowers, tulips and daffodils. They also have a vegetable CSA, pussy willow bundles and other locally grown items. A portion of their sales goes to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. 

Stone Tudor Farm

Walnut Drive Gardens

Pick-your-own options include strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, beans and peas, tomatoes and peppers. Additional fresh produce includes melons, squash, corn, tart cherries and more. 

Woodland Acre Flowers

Select a bouquet from their flower cart or sign up for their flower share program. If you’re having an event, consider renting their flower bar so guests can make their own bouquet.

U-pick apple opportunities are available in the fall at their Farm Market, which is open year-round. They have two seasonal markets in Rittman and Jeromesville. Be sure to check out their festivals, tree pruning seminars and other events throughout the year. 

Bloom Hill Farm

Pick your own flowers, sign up for their flower subscription or reach out for arrangements for any occasion or event. Stop by during on of their festivals, such as Bloom Fest or Dahlia Fest. They also have a flower stand at 10475 Hoover Avenue NW, Uniontown. 

Geig’s Orchard

U-pick options include blackberries, apples, pumpkins and more. They also offer peach picking classes with an educational session and tastings and adult-only honeycrisp apple u-pick evenings with live music, bonfires and cider tasting.

Monroes Orchard & Farm Market

Moreland Fruit Farm

With a 100-acre fruit and veggie farm, petting zoo and festivals, you’re in for a fun time. U-pick opportunities are available May to October and include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, peaches, apples and pumpkins.
