Rick Stockburger isn’t lying when he says he does “a myriad of things.” He is the founder of Stockburger Civic Solutions, a community and economic development consulting firm. He co-founded Launch League, a community for scaleable startups, and does government affairs work for Cole Company LPA in Bath. Rick is also the facilitator for Leadership Akron’s Barberton Community Leadership Institute and InternEdge.
Rick says that “more importantly, I am husband to my amazing wife Carly and a father to Reagan and Jake.” He added, “As a young professional, I often feel like after we have kids, we kind of fall off the face of the city.” So he’s taking over the Summit Peeks Twitter account for a week to show the opposite – how having a growing family and being active in the community is doable.
When asked what his absolute favorite thing about Akron is, Rick answered: “Her people. Specifically the people who don’t take our city at face value. The ones who dig deeper and find meaning in what it truly means to be in a place.”
