I teach in Akron (year 20, my dream job). I live in Akron. My kids go to Akron Public Schools. I’ve always felt that my kids could learn to read and write anywhere, but in order to have authentic experiences with people from differing backgrounds and cultures, that could only happen in a city as diverse as Akron.
